Studies axes of the eye, PD measurement and measuring instruments, Listing's Plane, visual acuity, tilted lens effect, crossed cylinders, vertex distance compensation. Teaches corrected curve theory, magnification of spectacle lenses, definition and classification of presbyopia, existence of accommodation, formula for accommodation, and accommodation/convergence ratio. Lecture 4 hours per week.
