DYSRHYTHMIA RECOGNITION AND MANAGEMENT

    Prerequisite is EMT/A certification or equivalent. Focuses on interpretation of normal electrocardiogram and recognition and     management of basic dysrhythmias. Also covers basic anatomy and physiology of cardiovascular system and     pathophysiology and management of a cardiovascular dysfunction. Required for Virginia certification as an EMT-Cardiac     and/or Paramedic. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
