The Science Club is open to all students, faculty and staff interested in any aspect of science including chemistry, physics, biology, ecology and astronomy. The goals of the Science Club are to promote scientific activities through field trips, guest speakers and community service. Other functions of the Science Club include providing information on internships, scholarships and admissions to pharmacy, dental, medical and graduate schools.
Some of the Science Club activities from last year included a fund-raiser for community colleges in the Gulf Coast region damaged by Hurricane Katrina, clean-up of the Occaquan watershed, observation of cardiace surgery at Fairfax Hospital, a tour of the Clinical Research Center at the National Institutes of Health and more.
