Online Academic Advising - Woodbridge
In order to be well-prepared for success, it is important for all students to meet with their academic advisor prior to the start of the semester. If you are a returning student and unable to come to campus, online academic advising is a convenient option available to you.
An academic advisor will help you:
- Complete advising sheets
- Schedule specific classes needed for your major/degree program
- Explore different career options

Student Orientation Advising
If you are a first time student at NOVA, be sure to sign up for a face-to-face Student Orientation Advising & Registration (SOAR) session.
Virtual Advising
Live chat sessions are available Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Other Important Information
Open Fall 2010 registration for all students, new and continuing begins June 8. Fall 2010 classes begin on August 23.
