The first step to beginning health career training at NOVA/MEC is to attend a mandatory Information Session.

About the Dental Hygiene Program
Dental hygienists provide preventive dental care. They are responsible for providing treatment to prevent oral and periodontal diseases. They provide clinical, therapeutic and educational services under the direction of a dentist. Dental Hygienist must graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program, successfully complete the National Board Exam and pass state clinical exams for licensure to practice.
