Psychology
Psychology is one of several courses that helps students meet their social science requirement. These courses are designed with several types of students in mind: those enrolling in an A.A. or A.S. degree programs, those planning to transfer to four-year degree programs and those seeking enrichment courses. The psychology discipline also offers a specialization in psychology for students with a particular interest in psychology. The A.A. program is designed for students with an interest in areas of developmental and counseling psychology. The A.S. program is designed for students with an interest in research psychology. Faculty members are dedicated instructors who utilize a variety of instructional media, including PowerPoint presentations, field trips, service learning and ELI courses.
