Fine Arts
The Annandale Campus has a fine arts (rather than commercial art) emphasis with courses in painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, design, fine arts photography, printmaking and computer graphics. With additional offerings in art history, the program is geared for several types of students: those enrolled in the A.A. and A.A.S. degrees in fine arts, those planning to transfer to four-year degree programs and students seeking art enrichment courses.
Many of our seasoned faculty members have been at NOVA for more than 20 years and come from a variety of distinguished art graduate schools, including Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Maryland, Syracuse University, Yale University and the University of North Carolina, among others.
Annandale art students benefit from a thorough grounding in fine arts foundation courses, assistance in preparing portfolios and invaluable advice on art careers and transfer programs.
