Chef Benita Wong is accredited through the American Culinary Federation (ACF) as a Certified Culinary Educator (CCE) and Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC). DeQuan Smith is a graduate of Virginia State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and his Master of Science in Sports Management. While attending VSU, he worked as the Program Director for the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality. DeQuan worked with professors to promote professional development opportunities for students throughout the Hospitality Management Program. In addition to his outreach through NSMH, he worked with the Hyatt Summer Bridge Program, introducing high school students to the different disciplines of the hospitality industry; while pioneering programs to help support undergraduate students achieve their career objectives.
