Emergency Preparedness Committee

The role of the Campus Emergency Management Committee is to review campus plans and procedures for responding to emergencies that threaten the safety of the Annandale campus community or disrupt campus operations. The Committee focuses on specific developing incidents and three possible response efforts: 1) Building Evacuations, 2) Shelter in Place (Weather) and 3) Stay in Place (lockdown). The Campus Emergency Response Plan establishes a chain of command and outlines the authority, specific responsibilities and operational actions of individuals with a direct or supporting role in a campus emergency response effort. The committee advises the Campus Emergency Response Coordinator who serves as a liaison with the Campus Provost.
