Photography

The NOVA photography faculty encourage creativity and individual exploration founded on solid technical skills. Our program balances vision and craft within a broad definition of photography. The variety of classes offered in the program are supported by professionally equipped digital labs, wet processing labs for b/w film processing and printing, and color digital printing.

"Documenting the New Northern Virginia"
The NOVA Photography Programs at Alexandria and Woodbridge are collaborating in an extended Documentary Photography project, The New Northern Virginia.

A series of PHT 195 Documentary Project classes investigated the new and changing Northern Virginia, its shifting landscape and population. The project culminated in a website and special student exhibition.
