Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and Virginia Hospital Center
will again partner to offer middle school-aged students interested in
healthcare, the opportunity to interact with medical professionals in a
variety of disciplines.

July 29 – August 2 (with students at MEC, Tues/Thurs, July 30 and Aug 1)
August 12-16 (with students at MEC, Tues/Thurs, Aug 13 and 15)
NOVA, students will become certified in HeartSavers (CPR/Basic Life
Support) and participate in a Crime Scene Investigation (CSI)
simulation, where they will be exposed to the fields of
police-forensics, EMS, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy and Diagnostic

simulation in the pulmonary and cardiac catheterization labs, ER,
pharmacy, radiology, rehabilitation and medical diagnostics areas; they
will participate in a mock Operating Room and learn to use a
