Doing Business With NOVA

NOVA welcomes doing business with you!

The first step all interested vendors and suppliers need to take is to become familiar with the Commonwealth's Vendor Manual, a one stop source for everything a vendor needs to know about conducting business with the College.

NOVA is committed to purchasing quality products and services from small, minority and women-owned businesses (SWaM). The Purchasing Office encourages participation of SWaM businesses in all of its procurement programs. For more information, visit the SWaM section of the Purchasing Office website.

The College subscribes to the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) code of ethics. NOVA is required to post the majority of its competitive bid opportunities and awards on the Commonwealth of Virginia's electronic commerce portal, which is generally referred to as eVA. Please note, in order to respond to the solicitations, your company will have to register with the eVA Program.

To request a copy of a particular solicitation you may email the buyer (this method is most preferred), send a fax or pick up a copy from the office on the Annandale campus:

  • Email the buyer listed for the solicitation with ALL the necessary information
  • Fax your request to 703.323.3019
  • Pick up a copy from our office at the NOVA Annandale Campus-CW Bldg., Room #314, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA. Please call in advance!

All Constructions solicitations over $50,000 are currently only available in hard copy and will not be faxed or emailed.

Regardless of the method you choose for requesting a solicitation, please be prepared to provide the following information. Failure to provide the requested information will result in delays and/or our ability to mail a solicitation to your firm.

  • Solicitation number
  • Solicitation title
  • Name of individual requesting solicitation (contact person)
  • Vendor/company name
  • Mailing address
  • Business phone number, including the area code
  • E-mail address (if applicable)

You should allow a minimum of five business days to receive a copy of the solicitation. If you haven’t received a copy within this time frame, please contact the Buyer referenced.
