Programs Accredited by External Agencies
Office of Academic Assessment

Programs which are accredited by external agencies submit a modified evaluation report to the Curriculum Committee. These reports include the recommendations of the accrediting agency and an action plan based on those recommendations. The action plan is approved by the Curriculum committee and the Administrative Council. The evaluation cycle of these program is presented in the chart below.

As of 1/2000, the name of this committee will be the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). Re-accreditation review completed 12/13/2000. Continuing accreditation awarded April 2001. 5 years 2005

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education of the American Physical Therapy Association Full accreditation received 1998 Continuing accreditation received May 2001. 7 years 2008
RADIOGRAPHY AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation in cooperation with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T) recognizes SACS as an accrediting agency meeting the "registry-eligible" status for purposes of sitting for the national certifying examination in Radiography. Program meets accreditation standards of both SACS and A.R.R.T. Voluntary withdrawal from its accredited status with JRCERT requested effective 3/2/2000. This program will be added to the program review schedule for programs not accredited by an external agency. 5 years 2002
