What's a weekend college?
The Weekend Studies Program at NOVA's Annandale Campus lets you earn a degree by taking classes on Friday evenings and during the day on Saturdays and Sundays.
I wouldn't be taking classes after work during the week?
No. Your weekday evenings are free for family, work or social activities.
How long does it take to complete a degree just going on weekends?
NOVA's program is designed to be finished in a minimum of three years, but you can take longer--work at your own pace!
What degrees are offered?
Currently, two degrees are available: the Associate in Science degree in business administration and the Associate in Arts degree in liberal arts.
Is the coursework the same--no shortcuts?
The weekend classes cover the same material--there's no difference.
How much is this going to cost me?
Tuition and fees are the same for Weekend Studies courses as for "regular" classes. NOVA's very affordable--we're one of the best educational values in the Washington Metropolitan area! You'll find tuition rates in our printed class schedule or online at www.nvcc.edu/curschedule. To make balancing the budget even easier, we offer an interest-free tuition payment plan.
