Welcome Welcome to the NOVA Physics home page. Physics has its foundations in the earliest philosophies of human thinking. Because of this, Physics can be considered the basic science of the universe. The desire to know and understand the world around us is part of each of us as we grow to maturity. We push the limits of our understanding so that we can learn to walk, talk, communicate and work in the world around us. Physics itself is growing and as we learn more and more we push the limits of our understanding. This discovery process has taken us into space and to the depths of the oceans. Physics is pushing the limits back each day from the smallest fundamental particles in the atom, to the vastness of the universe. At NOVA we teach the basics of Physics from conceptual physics to the first calculus based physics course for engineers and scientists. For those who want to understand how electricity works in the home, to those who want to develop new electrical circuits for computers. Physics is taught by a dedicated faculty, who share the joy of learning with the students. |
