Hello everyone, my name is Nina. I am from the southern part of China, and I am glad that I can be the Chinese tutor in Language Center this semester. I have been here for almost one year, and I have studied English for more than 16 years. During this time I found out that the main way to learn a new language is to practice as much as you can. Here, in the Language Center you can get a free chance to practice your Chinese. I would be very happy if I could see any of you here. Feel free to come and ask me any questions about Chinese.
My name is Maxi. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Because of my Korean heritage, I naturally learned to speak two languages. When I was 16 years old, I moved to America and later graduated from Robinson Secondary School in the year 2010. After high school, I attended James Madison University for a year. Now, I am a full time student at Northern Virginia Community College and am tutoring Spanish at the Language Center. I look forward to meeting you and helping you in any way that I can!
My name is John (Guil) Lim, and I am tutoring Korean. My background is a little different than most. I grew up in Korea, but I studied Chinese and graduated from a Chinese college with an electrical engineering degree. While in China, I taught Korean to Chinese students in school. Now, I am preparing to go into the U.S. Army by taking English and military classes. Since I really want to be an international military officer, this opportunity brings me one step closer to my dream. Come by Language Center to sign up a tutoring appointment today.
My name is Turki Alahmadi and I'm from Saudi Arabia. I love to learn new languages and to know more about different cultures. I have lived in many countries during my life which have made me interested in learning foreign languages. I have been in the U.S. for one year, and I'm currently an ESL student. As a foreign language learner, I know how it feels to learn a new language, and I know what difficulties students face. I tutor Arabic in the Language Center, and I will do my best to facilitate learning Arabic and to help you know more about the culture. Just come by and I'll be happy to help.
My name is Sandie Benard. I'm from France, and I came to NOVA Annandale a year ago to study English as a Second Language and Business Administration. I enjoy travelling and know that my best journey so far has been in America, which became a second country to me. I am very happy to tutor French and be able to help students from any level. I look forward to meeting you at the Language Center!
My name is Shogo Kojima. I'm from Chiba, Japan, where I went to elementary, middle, and high school. Japanese sounds difficult at first, but I'm sure once you get used to Japanese, you can master it easier and faster. I will try my best to teach you not only the Japanese language, but also Japanese culture. I hope I can meet you and have a good time at the Language Center.
