The mission of the Annandale Testing Center is to offer placement testing to all incoming students, to provide testing for instructor referred exams for on campus classes, to proctor exams for Extended Learning Institute (ELI) courses and for VCCS students taking distance learning classes, and to administer competency exams for NOVA programs and/or graduation requirements.

*Many of these exams have longer time limits. Please arrive with enough time to
  complete your exam.

Please Note: Foreign Language Placement Tests (Arabic, French and Spanish) are not administered at the Testing Center. Please contact the Language Center (703-323-4137) to schedule an appointment for these tests.

Testing Center Rules

Students taking placement tests for the first time must have completed a NOVA application and be admitted to the college in the CREDIT program.
Please bring a valid photo ID (driver's license, student ID card, passport, green card, etc.) and your new student ID number (Empl ID#) to take any exam.
There are no fees for any of the tests administered at the Testing Center.
Only authorized testing materials are allowed in the testing rooms. All personal items, including cell phones, wallets, purses, keys, papers, book bags, etc. will be secured in a locker or stored at the Testing Center Administration Counter.
For liability purposes, please do not bring children to the Testing Center.
Please plan ahead. All tests must be completed 15 minutes before closing.
