Copying Facilities
There are two photocopy machines in the Library. You can use either your NOVACard or a guest card (available for $1.00) to purchase copies. Copies cost 10 cents per page when purchased with your NOVACard and 20 cents per page when purchased with a guest card. Money can be added to your NOVACard or guest card using the NOVACard machine located in the central area of the Library (the NOVACard machine only accepts bills and only accepts a $1 bill for the purchase of a guest card). Money can also be added to your NOVACard using a credit card in CA 103.
Computers and Printing
More than 50 computer workstations are available for use by students and faculty in the library. Library computers are designated primarily for research and Microsoft applications. During peak hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., librarians may ask students not working on school assignments to yield their workstations.
A myNOVA username and password or a LanID and password are required to use library computers (this ID will be different than your myNOVA ID). To obtain your LanID and password, please refer to http://www.nvcc.edu/ithd/student/student-web/.
Students may print from library workstations. You can use either your NOVACard or a guest card (available for $1.00) to purchase print outs. The cost of black and white print outs using your NOVACard is 10 cents per page, but if you use a guest card the fee is 20 cents per page. Similarly, the cost of color print out using your NOVACard is 20 cents per page, but if you use a guest card the fee is 40 cents per page. You can add money to your NOVACard or guest card using the NOVACard machine located in the central area of the Library (the NOVACard machine only accepts bills and for the purchase of a guest card it only accepts $1 bills). You can also add money to your NOVACard using a credit card in CA 103.
Twenty-five laptops are also available for use by students and faculty. These laptops can be checked out for use within the library at the Circulation Desk.
