Subscribe to the Library PodcastStudent Email
Email may be accessed from library workstations. However, priority is given to those using the workstations for academic research. During periods of heavy use, those using the workstations for email may be asked to give up their computer so that another student may use it for research.
Look Up Your ID
- Go to the Account Search page.
- Type in the required information.
- You should get a list that includes your IDs for email, Blackboard and Viva as well as your EMPLID. Write them down.
- If you don't get the IDs, check to make sure that you entered your information correctly (check spelling, do not put dashes or slashes in between the digits of your SIS or birthdate).
- If it still doesn't work you should call the IT Help Desk at 703.426.4141.
Logging in to Your Email Account
- Go to the NOVA Web page: http://www.nvcc.edu
- Select "Mail & Web" at the bottom of the page (under the picture)
- In the "Student" column, click where it says "For VCCS Student Email"
- On the email login page:
Your UserID is the first part of your email address -- everything before the @ symbol (Example: krandom0001).
Your password is the six digits of your birthday (Example: if your birthday is January 23, 198,1 your password is 012381).
Logging in to Blackboard
- Go to the Blackboard login page at http://www.bb.vccs.edu
- Click "Login":
Your UserID is the first part of your email address - everything before the @ symbol (Example: krandom0001).
Your password is the six digits of your birthday (Example: if your birthday is January 23, 1981, your password is 012381).
