Classroom Policy
Scheduling
- The Library reserves the right to schedule library related activities in the classroom.
- Library instruction takes precedence over other uses of the library such as meetings, etc.
- No nonlibrary class may be scheduled.
- Librarian led instructional activities take precedence over faculty directed instructional activities.
- Classes which have an instructional session with a librarian may scheduled a follow-up session in the classroom. When not all of the workstations are needed for the class, please allow other students to use the remaining PCs.
- Scheduling should allow for a transition between classes so that librarians have access to the area at least 15 minutes before a scheduled class they are teaching (and 15 minutes afterward).
Classroom Conduct
- Students and faculty are expected to adhere to college rules regarding classroom /lab behavior.
- It is the instructor's responsibility to make sure that computers and other equipment are properly restored to the desktop or (late evening) shut down after use.
- It is the instructor's responsibility to monitor the class noise level, so as not to bother others who are trying to work in the library.
- Cell phones and pagers are to be turned off while in the library.
