Classroom Policy

Scheduling

  1. The Library reserves the right to schedule library related activities in the classroom.
  2. Library instruction takes precedence over other uses of the library such as meetings, etc.
  3. No nonlibrary class may be scheduled.
  4. Librarian led instructional activities take precedence over faculty directed instructional activities.
  5. Classes which have an instructional session with a librarian may scheduled a follow-up session in the classroom. When not all of the workstations are needed for the class, please allow other students to use the remaining PCs.
  6. Scheduling should allow for a transition between classes so that librarians have access to the area at least 15 minutes before a scheduled class they are teaching (and 15 minutes afterward).

  3. It is the instructor's responsibility to monitor the class noise level, so as not to bother others who are trying to work in the library.
  4. Cell phones and pagers are to be turned off while in the library.
