Cyber Experience  
   

Northern Virginia Community College will host its Annual Cyber Experience for students, ages 10 to 17 years old. The two-week experience will offer a fun-filled hands-on learning environment in which students learn to build a PC from the component level, develop & publish personalized web pages, and build robots.

 

Information
All training is performed by our staff of certified instructors. This year's experience promises to be worthwhile and exciting learning experience:

PC Construction

Work on actual computers boxes and components, learning the inner working of the personal computer's hardware components and how to construct a functioning personal computer.

Web Pages Design

Learn to design, build and publish their personal web pages using Microsoft FrontPage

Computer Gaming

 

Create your own game and generate an executable file for Windows, Pocket PC.

Legos MindStorm & Robotics

Create programmable robots that navigate obstacles, follow trails, or react to changes in light detected by its sensors using Legos MindStorm, no programming experience is necessary.

Learn the principles of electro-optics, analog & digital circuitry infrared beams, operational amplifiers, photo detectors, motor control theory and more as they build their very own robot.
