English as a Second Language
ESL Testing and Registration July 21 – August 22. Students must take a writing and speaking test to register for CE ESL classes. Call (703) 323-3168 to make an appointment. Register for classes after you take the test. ESL Fall 2008 Dates (Microsoft Word Version)

Application Process

All new students must complete an application. Documentation of your status: F-1, J-1, Permanent Resident, etc. will be required.

Registration Policy

All ESL students need to come and register in-person. You should have an assigned ID number to register. It is called "EMPLID."

		Returning Students: You will get a card with your EMPLID number in December 2005 from the office or you can go online to find it out at http://www.nvcc.edu/novaconnect.
		New Students: After you fill out a college application, you will be assigned the EMPLID number.

Refunds

There will be no tuition refunds for ESLA 1970-1975, ESLA 1980-1986, ESLA 1995/1996/1916 after August 21 . To receive a refund for ESL classes, you must cancel the class 4 business days before the first day of class.
