A NOVA Identification card is essential for all Northern Virginia Community College students, so don't pass up the opportunity of owning one!
NOVACards are needed on campus to check-out books from the library, to enter and use the computer lab and to enter and use the parking garage (along with a valid faculty/staff or student permit). Students may use their ID cards to make copies and print from campus copiers and printers by adding money to their cards. The regular price per copy on campus is 15 cents without a student ID card. With a student ID card, however, each copy is only 10 cents. Students may add money to their cards by inserting 1, 5, 10 and 20 dollar bills into the CSVT (NOVACard) machines on campus, which can be found in the library, on the 3rd floor of the CG building and outside the computer lab in CT 105. Please note: The CSVT Machine does not give change. Students may also use their ID cards to receive discounts at movie theaters and other businesses where student discounts are honored. NOVACards are good for 2 years with the first card given to students for free. If a card is expired and the student wishes to renew it, it is renewed at no charge as well. A fee of $10.00 will be charged to students who have lost or misplaced their NOVACard. |
