Welcome The Administration of Justice program offers academic opportunities for students desiring to enter various phases of the Criminal Justice System and security related fields. The two-year Associate in Applied Science Degree is a minimum degree level for many police agencies at the local and state levels. It also serves as an excellent foundation for the four-year degree program in criminal justice studies offered by many colleges and universities. The Administration of Justice program also offers one year career studies certificates in Industrial and Commercial Security and Physical Security for individuals who wish expanded marketability or expertise in these areas. The Administration of Justice programs lead to career opportunities in local, state, and federal levels of law and security enforcement, corrections and the courts. Included in these areas are police officers; private and government investigators, corrections officers; probation and parole officers and counselors; prosecutors; court security officers; and court administrators. Most agencies have continuous recruitment and employment programs. Potential students are advised that many criminal justice agencies require excellent moral character and a written record of conduct prior to consideration for employment. |
