Alumni Recognition Program

On behalf of the NOVA Alumni Federation Board of Governors, Mr. Timothy Dabney, Alumni Federation President, is pleased to announce the kick-off of the "NOVA 1st Alumni Identification and Recognition Program."

The primary objectives of the NOVA 1st Program are these:

  1. To identify lost alumni and add their names and pertinent information to the NOVA Alumni Data Base so that the College may re-establish contact with our former students. We want to know what has happened in the lives and careers of our alumni in the time since they first attended classes at NOVA.
  2. Maintain contact with those alumni identified through the NOVA 1st program.
  3. To recognize the NOVA 1st alumni in our publications and at College events.
  4. Create a special booklet of NOVA 1st profiles for publication.
  5. Long-Term Plan: To create an Outstanding Alumni Awards Program in the next 3-5 years.

All students who have taken classes at NOVA are considered alumni of the college whether they graduated, transferred to another academic institution or just took classes on one of the campuses or through the Extended Learning Institute.
