Course Objectives:

Basic Musicianship course teaches the general principles of
music theory as well as the basics of sightsinging and music
dictation.
The text introduces students to the elementary vocal and
instrumental textures in tonal music.

Attendance at two student recitals,and one concert sponsored by
the NVCC,Alexandria Campus Music Department.
Students are responsible for all material covered in class.
