The instructional mission of the Alexandria Music Program is to:

• offer two-year degrees for those who wish to pursue music as a career;
  
• provide opportunities for self enrichment for those who wish to explore their musical interests through a wide variety of course offerings;
  
• create the means to develop musical performance potential through group and individual lessons, recitals, and ensemble programs; and,
  
• guide students to clarify and match career and musical objectives with academic.
