An
important key to the student’s success is advising. A t the Alexandria campus each student
is assigned a Faculty advisor, chosen according to major instrument,
and a Program Counselor.
Faculty Advisors
Faculty advisors work with the student to find
what course of study will best meet the musical goals of the student.
Every student is encouraged to meet with a faculty advisor
whether or not they intend to pursue a degree.

Program
Counselor
Every student who pursues a music degree is asked
to see our program counselor. She works with the music program, collects
all background (courses taken, degrees earned etc.) and works
up a degree plan and enters the courses relevant to that plan.
