The Alexandria Music Program enjoys a close association with its next door neighbor, the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center. Our NOVA Community Chorus performs many times each year in the concert hall with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic, the Arlington and Alexandria Symphonies, as well as in combination with our concert band--The Alexandria Campus Band, which also performs at the Schlesinger Center each semester. The acoustics of the concert hall have been highly acclaimed by the many artists who have performed there. Joe McClellan of the Washington Post suggested that the Kennedy Center would envy the Schlesinger Center's superior acoustics.
