The Human Services Program includes three basic disciplines - human services, substance abuse, and gerontology. The goals and objectives of the human services program are to present information and skill-based knowledge to meet the burgeoning demand of the populace for helping in coping with the myriad of problems evinced in our culture and society today. This program is intended to provide a comprehensive program of student development services. The program provides training to a broad range of students, from virtually all ages, racial groups, ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and educational levels. Student are encouraged and assisted in obtaining internship/practicum experience in the discipline, to enable them to fine-tune their classroom-acquired knowledge in the direct light of real-life experience.
