Lisa, who joined NOVA as a full-time faculty
member in 2003, teaches
courses in Interactive and Communication Design. Prior to joining
NOVA she was a Vice President/Creative Director at Ten
United, one of the country's top 100 independent advertising
agencies. She was also a founding partner of Altman Meder Lawrence
Hill, a Florida based agency whose national reputation for
creative design brought in clients such as GTE TSI,
Johnson & Johnson Medical,
the St. Petersburg Times, The State of Florida, Busch
Gardens and numerous public service firms.
Lisa’s
print, broadcast and interactive work has been honored
by The Art Directors Club of New York, The Advertising
Club of New York, the Creative Newspaper, Print Regional Design
Annuals, Communication Arts, the Strathmore Gallery, and
with numerous Addy Awards (including multiple best of show
awards). She has also been a public arts trust
grant recipient in Montgomery County, Maryland.
She continues to work professionally,
maintains a fine art studio, and serves on the
board of directors for Art
and Remembrance,
a non-profit organization created to foster greater understanding
of the Holocaust and other acts of social injustice through
art, education, and cultural activities.
Lisa discovered her love of teaching after being an adjunct
instructor at NOVA and at The Corcoran College of Art & Design.
