Our program's Communication Design Curriculum Advisory Committee
is a hardworking team of professionals from various specializations
within the communication design industry. In addition to keeping
faculty in touch with the market place, the advisory committee
develops extracurricula symposia for students each year. Advisory
committee members further provide resources and assistance
with the job search for graduating students.

The
advisory committee develops extracurricula symposia for students
each year. The Advisory Board creats various programs
for students:
Design+: Design professionals presented
their work, in currency design, exhibition/museum design, broadcast
and film design, editorial design, and working in-house. The
evening was for created for students to learn about both traditional
and non-traditional career paths in communication design.
Options Design: The evening included
a panel of design professionals who presented their work, talked
about their carreers and answered many questions from students
and faculty. The panel included practitioners in graphic, advertising,
interactive, editorial, interactive, multi-media and broadcast/film
design.
"Will you hire
me?" 4th Annual No Brain, No Gain Creative Seminar:
This program started with a discussion about what employers look for when
hiring a graphic artist. Topics that included work ethics,
experience and portfolios were discussed. This was followed
with a high-energy, deadline-driven (15-minutes!), creative
session where groups of students, together with a member of
the advisory committee, came up with a campaign
to market a color.
