Course Objectives

Students will explore glaze, glazing and other decorating methods appropriate for the raku firing technique.
Students will understand basic kiln design and firing techniques.
Students will become familiar with safety precautions for firing gas-fueled kilns and the raku process.
Students will explore post firing reduction and other non-traditional post-firing techniques.
