At NVCC Alexandria, we are committed to helping you achieve your personal and professional academic goals. Whether you seek to complete one of our certificate or degree programs, prepare for transfer to a baccalaureate program, upgrade your skills, or engage in personal development, the Student Services staff is here to make sure that happens.

Alexandria Campus provides one of the most diverse learning environments in the Commonwealth of Virginia. During the academic year, a student body of 10,000 plus students, with representatives from over 75 countries, interact and study with an energetic faculty and participate in student activities and annual cultural programs that entertain, inform and enlighten. In the campus hallways, you see students in native dress, hear conversations in different languages, and observe the customary greetings of many cultures.

With over 70 programs of study and a wide range of credit and non-credit courses, offered on and off-campus, we are ready to assist you in selecting and designing a program that meets your needs according to your schedule. At Alexandria, we are especially proud of our exceptional student Honors program, our Foreign Language and English as a Second Language course offerings. We encourage you to sample.

Veterans' services and Financial Assistance programs are available. Services may be accessed in person, by phone or electronically (via e-mail). A variety of student clubs and organizations provide opportunities for personal and leadership development, including a student-managed newspaper, the Collective. Both the Campus and Honors Lecture Series feature dynamic speakers who address capacity audiences.

From admission to registration to graduation, our goal is to create the best academic experience possible. Student-centered and Community-focused, don't hesitate to let us know how we can assist you in achieving your goals.
