ADDENDUM A
SCHLESINGER CENTER EVENT PARKING
PAYMENT OPTIONS
When an organization is hosting a special event in the Schlesinger Center and a large number of patrons will require parking spaces, the event sponsor must coordinatewith the Campus Parking Supervisor at least two weeks prior to the event. Event Parking is restricted to the Beauregard Street Garage. Event Sponsors are responsible for notifying their audiences of the parking rules and regulations.
NOTE: ORGANIZATIONS AND/OR EVENT SPONSORS NOT MAKING PROPER ARRANGEMENTS WITH PARKING SERVICES PRIOR TO THEIR EVENT WILL BE INVOICED $1,500.00 FOR THE USE OF THE GARAGE.
- Option 1: (The best option for events with 500 or more patrons attending). The host organization can rent Beauregard Street Garage (534 parking spaces) for a flat fee of $1500.00. Campus Parking Services will provide two Parking Attendants for traffic and pedestrian control. Sponsors will coordinate billing arrangements with the Campus Parking Supervisor.
- Option 2: (The best option for events with less than 500 patrons attending). The host organization can rent individual parking levels. For example; Blue and Green levels can be rented at $5.00 per space and Red and Yellow levels will be closed off or vice versa. Parking Attendants will count the vehicles parked in the garage and a bill will be sent to the organization for payment ($5.00 per vehicle) after the event.
- Option 3: (A good option for events with less than 500 patrons attending). The host organization can purchase passes ($5.00 each) in advance for their patrons. This eliminates the need to “feed the meter” and provides convenient parking for patrons and guests. We will require at least three weeks’ notice to allow preparation time. Organizations must coordinate billing arrangements with the Campus Parking Supervisor.
- Option 4: (The least desirable option). The host organization can continue to have their patrons and guests “feed the meters” ($5.00 each) in Beauregard Street Garage. This is a very time consuming process because the meters are slow. Organizations using this option should encourage their patrons to arrive 30 to 45 minutes prior to the start of the event.
