Advanced Motorcycle Rider Training (ERC Skills Plus)

Even if you have been riding for some time, there is always something new to learn. Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to this half-day event.

The course will help you to hone skills, attack bad habits and possibly learn new things. The classroom portion (which may be conducted on the range in between exercises, or formally, in a classroom) will include discussions about balancing, the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, the Oval of Safety and increasing visibility. You will review the 4 Preps (not a 1960's vocal group!), Ladder of Risk, traction patches and the effects of impairment on motorcycle operation. Using your motorcycle you will practice the techniques for low-speed control, limited space maneuvers, stopping quickly (both in a straight line and curves), cornering and hazard avoidance.

This course is a logical complement to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic RiderCourse ®, Skills Practice I and Skills Practice II. It is designed to provide a safe, enjoyable riding event for participants.

You may qualify for discounts on your insurance, as well as reimbursement from some Rider Clubs (e.g. Honda Rider Club, Harley Owners Group, BMWBMW, etc) after successful completion of the course.
