The Military Site Office ( MSO) of Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) offers
free credit evaluation to its students governed by NVCC rules.  Simply stated a student must
complete at least one course through NVCC before a student can request an evaluation of
transcripts.  In addition, a student must complete at least one quarter of their degree from
NVCC, plus meet the specific remaining requirements of a degree before NVCC will award
a degree to a student.

Furthermore, as part of our evaluation it is NVCC's Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges
(SOC), policy each Military Student who completes 6 credit hours through NVCC also complete
a SOC agreement with NVCC unless the student has a SOC agreement through another
College.  In addition to being NVCC's policy, it is also Military Policy.  NVCC has to turn
into the Military copies of Students (SOC) agreement.

SOCMAR (MARINE)

SOCAD (ARMY)

SOCNAV (NAVY)

The MSO will only complete evaluations of Military Transcripts,  via AARTS/SMARTS.

Please see the enclosed link for more details.  All other transcripts will be evaluated by

the counseling department of your main Campus.  Contact them via phone to make an

appointment.

Before coming into the MSO, remember to ask yourself some questions.

After the student has been admitted,  the student should request that all "transcripts" from

Alexandria Campus is where the students paper record is being kept.  (Note,  not all students
who process through the MSO of Alexandria will request their records be kept at our  Home

would need to contact the Counseling Office of the Campus their record is at.
