NVCC is a SOC participant school and is regionally accredited.  For most of our degrees a student need only complete one quarter of their degree though NVCC, this is called degree residency.  Therefore, a student could transfer in via other regionally accredited sources , i.e. SMARTS, CLEP/DSST, AP/IB, other Regionally Accredited Colleges, three quarters of the remaining balance.

List of CLEP/DSST, IB, AP and other non-traditional college courses NVCC accepts.

NVCC will conduct free evaluation of a students Military Transcripts.  This evaluation will be based on the recommendations of the American Council on Education (ACE) and the internal transfer policy of the College.  Some of our degrees are offered 100% on line, in addition, many of our general educational courses may be taken on-line.  In orders words a student may be able to obtain residency, solely by our on-line courses.
