Ft. Myer

Non DoD civilians may enter Ft. Myer only through the Hatfield Gate (off Washington Blvd).   If you have a DoD ID Card and Sticker you may enter and exit through the Wright Gate (near the Iwo Jima Memorial).

Any NVCC student/Non-Governmental visitor can access Ft. Myer. Professors can be issued a pass for up to one year.  Students may be issued a pass for one complete semester, or just for the period in which they have class.  Please indicate on your application for base pass the period you wish the pass be issued for.

Be advised, when you enter the Base, you, any passengers, and your vehicle are subject to search at any time.  Please ensure you and any passengers have a valid ID card (normally a Driver's License).  The driver of the vehicle should also be able to show proof of insurance, and current registration for their vehicle.   Furthermore, please be aware there is no public Metro Service onto Ft.
