Training classes for students on software and computer usage
The OCC has a variety of FREE classes for students, from using PowerPoint create slides for presentations to file management and effective use of resources on the web.

Assistance with LAN IDs and Mirapoint Student E-mail
Having trouble logging in? Or maybe you can't figure out how to access your student e-mail account? Or for that matter, maybe you didn't know that you had an account at all? We're here to help!

Assistance with Homework Assignments (of All Levels)
The expert staff at the OCC is available to help you complete your coursework, as easy or complex as it may be. Feel free to take advantage of the well-qualified staff present in the labs.

Scanners and Printers
You've spent all that time perfecting your designs/assignments and you're ready to print? The OCC has several high-res printers, and is soon to have color printing as well. We also have several flatbed scanners for free use.

Fitting lab time into your busy schedule can be a challenge. The OCC tries to accomodate all students and their very different schedules with a wide range of hours. Check our site for our current hours.

Professional Development for Faculty and Staff
Education isn't reserved for just the students - those that work here need a place to learn as well! As such, the OCC offers a wide variety of workshops and training sessions for both faculty and staff. These sessions are extremely popular - check your e-mail for regular announcements of up and coming training sessions and to RSVP.

Registration and Admissions Assistance
Want some quick help with registering for classes, or even enrolling at NVCC? Come to the OCC and ask one of the staff members to walk you through the online process. If English is a concern, we may be able to help you in your native language (Amharic, Tigrigna, Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Farsi to name a few).

The OCC is proud to announce the
addition of the new, “Global Capital
Trading Center”. This new
state-of-the-art room features
three 65-inch LCD Displays, stock
tickers relaying the latest global
economic information and 22
brand-new computers with dual
17-inch LCD monitors. This room
is located in room 159 of the Bisdorf
building. NVCC will begin
offering business, economics and
other classes starting Fall 2007 in
this room.
