- You can renew your books in person, by telephone, or online. Books that are overdue, have been renewed once before or requested by another patron cannot be renewed.
- Online renewals:
- Go to the Library Catalog and click on My Account (near the top of the screen);
- Enter your NovaConnect ID and Password (faculty and staff have a different logon -- contact the library for information);
- Click on Loans;
- Click on the number next to the item(s) you want to renew and then click Renew.
- Go to the Library Catalog and click on My Account (near the top of the screen);
- Telephone renewals at the Alexandria campus can be done when we are open by calling the circulation desk at 703.845.6231. Please do not leave renewal requests on the answering machine. You will be asked for the barcode number located on the back of your NOVA student ID card.
- In-person renewals can be done at the Circulation Desk. You only have
to bring your NOVA student ID card to the desk; you do not have to bring the books you wish to renew.
- Online renewals:
- You will be charged $2.00 per hour/per day (as applies) for overdue
Reserve Materials.
- Borrowing Limitations: NOVA Students = 10 items; Community Patrons = 3 items.
- Copies of magazine articles requested from other NOVA campus libraries cost $0.20 per page.
- Individuals with overdue Library materials or Reserve Fines cannot check out additional materials until delinquent obligations are met.
