STATISTICS & OPINIONS

These sources are available in the reference collection of the library, on the low shelves behind the Reference Desk, filed by the call numbers given. They must be used in the Library only, but sections can be photocopied.

Statistical Abstract of the United States

A collection of statistics on a wide variety of topics related to the United States. The

are filed in the circulating collection by their call numbers and may be borrowed.

Contemporary World Issues

A series of books on contemporary issues which do not include argument essays but do have good background information on many current controversial subjects.

Current Controversies

This series includes excerpts of articles that represent a variety of opinions on controversial topics.

Information Plus

This series does not include arguments but presents background information and statistical data on current social issues.

Reference Shelf

Each volume in this series covers a current topic, with a collection of articles representing different viewpoints on the subject.

Taking Sides

A collection of books of arguments on many different topics, arranged by broad subject category.
