Online Practice Tests

Need to study for the SAT, ASE, PRAXIS, ASVAB, or TOEFL?

Looking for test preparation materials for math, nursing, cosmetology, civil service, or real estate broker exams?

The NOVA Library subscribes to an online database, Learning Express, which contains these and many other practice exams and study guides.   

 

1.       Start at the Library home page (www.nvcc.edu/library).

2.       Select: — “Articles” — “Test Preparation” (in the "Interdisciplinary" subject category; from off campus you'll be prompted to log in with your NovaConnect ID)

3.       The first time you use Learning Express, you will need to sign in as a “New User.”  You can make up whatever Username and Password you like.  After you’ve established an account, you’ll be able to sign in as a “Returning User.”

4.       After you sign in, you can choose to browse the contents of different Learning Centers (on the left), or you can choose to see a list of all test preparation materials.

5. For tests you're interested in, click on "Add to My Center" to continue.  Once you've added all the tests you're interested in, click on "My Center" (upper right) to get started on one of them.

6.       Click on Start to begin looking at the study materials.  If you’ve used Learning Express before, you will see a list of ALL the tests materials you’ve used before.

7.       Once you complete a test, click on “Score My Test” to view your results.  Learning Express will provide a brief explanation for each answer.  If you don’t have time to complete an entire test in one session, you can come back to where you left off in another session.
