Celebrate National Library Week! YOUR Alexandria Campus Library celebrated our special week by showing off our best assets: we created custom-designed signs, a book display on the history of libraries, a display of some of the gems of the library collection, a quiz for library patrons to undertake (and win PRIZES!) and kisses (of the Hershey kind) for library patrons! First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. |
