The ACCUPLACER Levels of English Proficiency (LOEP) test is given to students whose native language is not English. This is an untimed on-line computerized test, composed of 3 sections:
- Reading (20 test items)
- Sentence Meaning (20 test items)
- Language Usage (20 test items)
Students who score at a high level on the LOEP must also write an essay (1 hour) so that they can be placed accurately. These tests are given on a walk-in basis (no appointment necessary) in the Testing Center, Room 332, Bisdorf building, during regular hours. Please visit the links below for more detailed information. Note: A photo I.D. and Empl ID are required to take this test.
Placement for students who do not need to write an essay is given immediately after the test. For students who are required to write an essay, final placement will be ready within 1 to 2 working days.
