Group Study Lab

The Open Computer Center is pleased to announce the addition to the “Group Study” computer lab to the Open Computer Center.  This lab is located in room AA161, which used to be the Math Lab.  This lab was created due to constant students demands to add a room where they may perform their group projects that are assigned by their instructors.

In this lab students could perform group project work and receive tutorial assistance. The new setup provides students an informal work environment where students may perform group work involving computer resources, receive tutoring, and use available network drops on tables for use with their laptop computers.  This newly created lab will also support wireless.  All students would have a choice to connect via LAN drops or connect via wireless.  There are eight desktop computers available for students work on and perform their group projects.   We have installed three scanners in this room as well.  Scanners are available on first come first serve bases for course related assignments.  Students are expected to have basic knowledge of use of a scanner.
