The OCC is proud to announce the addition of the new, “Global Capital Trading Center.” This new state-of-the-art room features three 65-inch LCD Displays, stock tickers relaying the latest global economic information and 22 brand-new computers with dual 17-inch LCD monitors. This room is located in room 159 of the Bisdorf Building. NOVA began offering business, economics and other classes here in the Fall of 2007.
GCTC also features Telemet Orion Service software. The software is accompanied with R-t NYSE/AMEX w/BA, R-t NASDAQ bid/ask, PR NewsWire and Mutual Funds. The software was installed in the GCTC of the Alexandria Campus where Financial and Economics classes are offered. The software is for instructional purposes in the Global Capital Trading Center. The above mentioned software provides financial trading platforms to the students who are enrolled in the financial and economic classes. The Open Computer Center is open six days a week, including evenings and weekends. Access to this software in the GCTC will allow students to have full access to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) during all operational hours.
