Classrooms of the Future
About the Project
Thanks to the funding provided by the College Technology, Campus Technology, and Equipment Trust Fund budgets, Alexandria Campus classroom/lab technology is more up-to-date. New classrooms/labs in Phase III of the Bisdorf building have been built and fully equipped. Existing classrooms/labs, especially the renovated rooms on the fourth floor of Bisdorf, have been upgraded with new technology, too.
Features of the Smart Classrooms
Current classroom/lab systems offer a variety of technology resources and tools to our faculty, staff, and students. The technology systems are designed for ease of operation and offer a variety of platforms to meet instructional needs. New classrooms/labs include media consoles, which have control function button panels built into them for ease of operation. Renovated rooms have similar control buttons installed on wall plates near the media cabinets. (See close-up photo of buttons on this web page.) Moreover, most rooms now have updated ELMO visual presenters and LCD projectors installed in them. Please contact IS&D staff to report any problems with classroom equipment, as well as to schedule a tutorial on the use of the equipment, at (703) 845-6226 or AL-IS&D@nvcc.edu. |
