Note: Social Security/Student Number

In instances where the SSN is requested, your Social Security Number(SSN)is not required. It is optional and will be used for registration and as a student identifier in our current Student Information System. If the SSN is not provided, the college will assign an 800 identification number. Access to some services may be limited or delayed, such as tax reporting information and financial aid, where the SSN is specifically required by federal and/or state law.

If you have previously provided your SSN and wish to change to an 800 number, Student Services Cetner staff will assist you in making this change to your records. In Fall 2004, The new Student Information System - NovaConnect will be implemented. At that time, all students will be assigned a new EMPL I.D., which will replace SSN and 800 numbers.
