Our Mission
To inspire and empower young women to major in a tech related field in college and to pursue a career in engineering and technology. At Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), we believe that recruiting female students into the field of IT and Cyber Security is vital to the future of technological innovations and global competitiveness.
NOVA is committed to graduate talented women in Information Technology and Cyber Security who are prepared to make significant contributions to protect our national economy and security. To help advance women in technology, Northern Virginia Community College has launched the aFIT project.
Our partners come from various sectors, college administrators, school districts, female practitioners and professionals, business and industry, non-profit organizations, local interest groups, and other community organizations, with a concerted effort to assisting females in information technology.
